Thanks to Artificial Intelligence, robots can now move in a complex and changing environment, close to people, without any danger.
Mobile robots are useful to carry heavy loads and thus avoid work fatigue, musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. They allow people to focus on their value-added tasks, leaving the tedious and physical actions to the robot. In this sense, they are also tools that allow to be more productive.
They can be used in a store to bring back clothes that have been tried on but not purchased or to serve as a smart shopping cart. In industry, they transport boxes of parts from one station to another or they follow the technician serving as a mobile toolbox. In warehouses, they manage the transport of parcels, boxes, pallets, from a storage area to a transit area and vice versa. Even on the street, they accompany professionals on foot in streets where vans are not practical, where parking is complicated. In hospitals, they bring treatments to the nursing staff, who no longer have to walk miles in the corridors. With the sanitary crisis, they are also equipped to disinfect sensitive areas. We also see them in restaurants that bring the food to the customers.
There is no limit to the imagination we can have to make them do the hard work so we can focus on our real added value.
